Technically there are two splatoon definitions in the Splatoon franchise, the actual franchise itself, and the in-lore military construct. Splatoon is a NintendoTM third-person shooter game where you are a fucking squid, and your mission is to put as much of your shit on the floor as possible with a team of three others, whilst brutally killing other squids with said shit. This causes paintball to look like pro level CoD gameplay whilst hearing the brightly coloured squid child you're staring at the ass of to go "woomy :)>". I am in a personal fight with charger players.

(Ok I'm going to spoil some stuff here.) Due to the last human colony's use and projection of their own hopes and dreams onto the squid crystals in the sky, their song of hope etched itself into the minds of the marine life thats lived underground after the final world war that flooded the earth and caused them to adopt a human lifestyle as they evolved into the main intelligent species on land, despite never remembering their forefathers as they were.

This is canon. Part of it is theory and flagrant writing, but it's fucking canon, I cannot make this shit up.

Anyway, the squid is a kid, just roll with it.

Plenty. The main thing you need to know is that there are also octopus people and the squid and octopus people had a massive war 100 years ago and they got sent underground. Some are coming up now, but that is an important event. Not really gonna explain much else from here.

I think I discovered it through Matthew Patthew's theory video about if they were squids or kids, because my earliest memory of Splatoon was imagining something about it, squid transformation based. Later on, I was re-introduced to it when a friend pointed out that Splat3 was coming out and that we should play together. I said I would think about it, but I really got the game based off a dream I had of me getting the game.

I spent an entire week without access to the online lobby, so I just played through the entire story campaign :33. Very fun, I think I have some screenshots of me doing that, but I might have to dig a bit. I later decided to redo the intro sequence to change myself into an octoling instead on an inkling and I got access. I think it was because the certain combo caused some issues, but I just joke around saying that my sway was too strong for the online servers.

I won my third battle, I have screenshots. I was so happy about that.

Splatfests are an event where teams are created (2 in Splat 1 and 2, 3 in Splat 3) based on a topic, and they battle it out in Turf War to see which one is best. The themes are chosen by a sacred rock that prints out questions, and then read by the game's idols, who then form teams around the topic.
The rock is a fax machine.

My first ever Splatfest was Grass vs Fire vs Water. I was on Team Water, (my Quaquaval is called "Big Man" in Pokemon Violet), and we won :DD, and I got Ruler 4, my highest ever ranking in a Splatfest because everything else seems to get in the way of the rest of the Splatfests during my time with Splat 3, I can't do the first FrostyFest of Splat3 because I'm in a different continent :((. I think the main reason why nothing really got in the way of my first Splatfest is because I fell off a tree and sprained both my ankles, so I couldn't really get up.

Maybe I should fall off a tree again.

I MISS MY SPLATOON HYPERFIXATION SO MUCH MAN, HOMESTUCK IS GREAT BUT PLEASE LET ME BE A SQUID AGAIN

I've lost a lot of my ability with Splatoon on account of me not playing it that much anymore (and that I don't have much time now), and I'm trying out a new weapon class (charger) instead of my main weapon (vanilla splat dualies), which has gotten quite poor due to playing it too much. Around the time before my Splatoon Hiatus, I was in A rank just ramming into people and dying, not getting anything done and just missing. I think the main reason why I'm gravitating towards the Splat Charger and the Z+F Charger is for aim practice so I can go back to my main again.

Also because of the not-playing-it-often-anymore bit, I never seem to complete the catalouges anymore, and it makes me sad because my current is the Double Dab, and I can't get anymore of the sweet past catalouge exclusive s.

Also I am no longer friends with the guy who influenced me getting Splat 3. I will say nothing more than I hate him now.

ALSO IF YOU HAVE SPLAT2N AND NOT OCTO EXPANSION WHAT ARE YOU DOING GO GET THAT FUCKING DLC NOW IT IS WORTH IT

I got Splatoon 2 after Splat 3, just for Octo Expansion. That's why I don't have Minceraft or Pokemon Sword on my Nintendo SwitchTM anymore, and I loved it so much. The challenge was great, it was just what I needed after the Splatoon 3 Story Mode 100%. I love the rails levels, if you don't that's fine, also the music is amazing, Fly Octo Fly is one of my favourite songs out of the entire Splatoon soundtrack :33.
